  8. This is the first public BETA release of the wysiwyg HTML editor for AMIS.
  9. To be able to use it, download the new 1.02 version of AMIS from the Aminet
  10. (text/edit/amis.lha) and unpack this archive. Copy the file named 'HTML' to
  11. the 'viewers' directory of AMIS and have a go!

  13. Please be aware that this is still an EARLY BETA release. Suggestions and
  14. bug-reports are very welcome and can be send to either wmestrom@cs.ruu.nl or
  15. supernov@zeelandnet.nl.

  17. Main features of AMIS:
  18. ----------------------
  19. o  6 different editors for normal, ANSI, AmigaGuide, HTML, Pagestream and
  20.    C-source text. Most of them are WYSIWYG. The HTML editor is still in
  21.    BETA stage and is released separately (Aminet directory comm/www/
  22.    amis_html.lha).
  23. o  Every editor has its own 'viewerbar' with special functions for that
  24.    particular editor.
  25. o  A 'Project Manager' which allows you to make a list of text files which
  26.    in some way 'belong together'. Very useful for the different source files
  27.    of a program for example.
  28. o  A 'Toolbar' (adjustable to your wishes) very much like the one we know
  29.    from Wordworth ®.
  30. o  A very powerful set of internal commands (over 70!) which are at the same
  31.    time the ARexx commands.
  32. o  All keys are user definable.
  33. o  User settings for programming functions like Compile, Assemble, Link,
  34.    etc.
  35. o  Settings windows for the Toolbar, Editor, Current window, Keyboard, Menu,
  36.    Screen, Palette, Font, Programming and Miscellaneous settings.
  37. o  Macro support. You are able to record, play, load, save and edit macro's.
  38.    Shortcuts and macro names are also supported.
  39. o  All the usual editor functions like Find&Replace, block commands
  40.    (with clipboard support), statistics, etc.
